01

The challenge

Taiko Audio wanted to explore whether a physical controller could make its high-end audio system easier and more satisfying to use.

02

My role

During my MindHash internship, I researched existing premium remotes, developed distinct concepts and produced 3D-printed prototypes. I then conducted a usability study with people who owned or regularly used Taiko Audio products.

03

The approach

  • Studied form factors, ergonomics, materials and interaction patterns.
  • Used Autodesk Fusion and Figma to develop concepts, then tested physical comfort at scale with 3D prints.
  • Gathered feedback on ergonomics, interface clarity and design preferences from existing users.
04

What emerged

The study produced design recommendations for the next stage of the remote controller. The work covered the full design cycle from early research and concept development through prototype testing and refinement.
